Legal Support for Youth on Electoral Processes

ADRES – Association for Development and Social Resilience supports young people in Nouakchott in accessing electoral legal information, with support from the Election Civic Tech Fund.

The project combines a WhatsApp chatbot, a digital citizen observatory, and a documentary to equip young Mauritanians to navigate the legal dimensions of elections.

Tools Deployed

  • WhatsApp Chatbot: instant answers to electoral legal questions
  • Citizen Observatory: tracking and reporting of irregularities
  • Documentary: large-scale awareness campaign

Impact

ADRES aims to promote responsible citizenship and prevent electoral tensions in Mauritania, backed by €15,000 from the Election Civic Tech Fund.
